- All dependent on eligibility requirements
An energy audit not only helps gain access to rebates, but it helps home owners understand the baseline of their homes energy consumption. With this knowledge a home owner is able to make educated decisions and improvements to the home that can make drastic changes to their energy bills
Yes, add value to your home, access rebates and reduce energy bills
My service includes helping you find rebates that could possibly pay off a heat pump in full!
Greener Homes Grant is capped at $5600, BUT you can access other rebates which can be stacked on top! Being in the North you could also be eligible for an extra $9000.
Yes – doors, attic insulation, heating mechanics, solar power and more!
You will receive a:
-House label: Efficiency level of your home compared to a similar new build.
-Renovation Upgrade Report: What efficiency level your home could be if all recommended upgrades are done
-Home Owner Info Sheet: Breakdown of the energy consumption of the home
No, it shows the efficiency of the house if 2.5 people lived in it 50% of the time. Using this constant we are able to give an accurate rating based on its heating equipment and building envelope.
I absolutely can. An Energuide rating adds value to the home and a better understanding of it efficiency. Its important to note that the rebates will only apply to your primary residence.
Depends on what your goal is. An airtight home is good for heat efficiency but bad for ventilation. A leaky house is opposite and is bad for water infiltration. Tighten your home up and consider installing an HRV.
With an HRV or ERV.
- 125f is sufficient for washing machines and shower and baths. Any higher then cold water will need to be added which is not efficient
-Any colder than 122f then there is risk of legionella which is a pneumonia causing bacteria that will grow in the tank
- If your home has ducting then it is always more efficient to install a ducted heat pump
- If your home does not have ducting then a mini split heat pump will work.
The contractor will advise of the most efficient positions to place the heads. If your home is double story then consider using the head on the main floor as primary and use the head on the second story if necessary. Hot air rises so it will be more efficient to use the lower heads as primary.
